Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Hi, I got into an automtive accident at 3:00am on friday morning and the other driver was intoxicated. The police filed a report and i drove off after the entire incident was documented and refused any medical attention at the time. My tailbone now feels bruised and is very uncomfortable. What should i do?

Go seek medical attention first and foremost - whether you have a claim you can pursue for personal injuries will depend in large measure on the nature and extent of your injury. If you have not already done so advise your insurance company of the accident because you will be seeking to have your medical bills covered under the no-fault provisions of your insurance policy. Lastly, feel free to contact this office for a free consultation.

You should seek medical attention immediately. Many times, when a person is involved in a motor vehicle accident they do not feel pain days, sometimes weeks, after the accident. It is important to get the right medical treatment asap. Secondly, you should contact a lawyer for a free consultation to review the process involved with filing a claim to get your medical bills paid through your No-Fault insurance carrier. Do not use your private medical insurance as they have a right to ask you for reimbursement for the bills they pay in a car accident setting.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me, Pasquale Calcagno, Esq., for a free consultation at 1(800)WE-FIGHT or visit us on the web at www.1800wefight.com.
