Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
Broken ankle on college property
While walking to my car on campus i tripped and fell on a broken concrete sidewalk. The school nurse was gone so i went to the ER. I broke a bone in my ankle and possible damage to the tendons. The doctor said it could take up to 12-16 weeks to be back to normal. I am in an air cast and on crutches for atleast 2-3 more weeks. I do not know what to do. I did get pictures of where i fell? What are my options. I do not want problems with the school but i am in allot of pain and it is their fault.

You fail to indicate why it is there fault. There are certain legal rules that apply to trip and fall accidents. In addition, you fail to indicate the school. If it is a State or Municipal College there are certain notice and time requirements. I doubt the making of a legitimate claim would cause you any problems. Good luck.

Take pictures. It is important, even if you do nothing.
Depending on what school it is, different time periods apply in which to make a claim.

It sounds like you certainly may have a case. In order to have a case against the college you must show that they had "notice" of the condition however, meaning that they knew about the broken sidewalk or should have known b/c the condition existed for a long period of time.
In order to make sure your legal rights are properly preserved you must act as soon as possible. Certain public entities (like State schools) have extra prerequisites to bringing suit which are very time sensitive. My firm and I have handled many similar cases.
