Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

i got burned on the muffler of a friends motor cycle.

my friend did not have insurance on his motorcycle when i got burned. do i have any legal resourses available to me .

I agree with Mr. Groezinger's response. You may also want to check on your automobile insurance. Some policies have uninsured/underinsured coverage. You should consult with your insurance agent about this matter.

I received your post on 6-12-2001.

You can still sue your friend, but the proceeds would come out of his pocket. You might sue the manufacturer for a design defect, but the injury would have to be extremely severe, and there is a long shot in being successful.
