Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
I was in the car accident over a year ago. the other car left the scene of accident but got caught by the cops. first the insurance company claimed that it was my fault and now they want to go to joint arbitration. went to insurance company doctors 4 times already and had interviewed by the insurance company. at this point the other party never came to answer the questions of my lawyer. just want to know will joint arbitration help my case and if the other party don't show up for questioning?

Can't tell if your injuries are serious. My feeling is that if the insurance company is willing to submit your claim to arbitration, they feel it has merit. You would likely make out better if you were represented. A high/low arrangement should be considered if you proceed to arbitration. Call a lawyer. Best, M. E. Zuller
