Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
Can used car dealer sell a car with fulty airbags ?
I bought a car with the airbags light on and the dealer said he would fix it, well after 3 attempts of resetting it, it still is on. The owners manual says the airbags light indicates fulty airbags. They will not deploy in a crash.

A used car dealer should not knowingly be selling cars with faulty airbags. If you were in an accident and got hurt, they could be facing a large lawsuit. A light going on, however, may be indicative of many things, such as a faulty light itself. You should be sure by consulting with an independent mechanic that you have a faulty airbag. If you can confirm that, I would have it fixed elsewhere and sue the dealer for the cost of repair.
