Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Doctor re-used syringes on patients

I am one of over 600 patients of a Long Island doctor who used un-aeseptic techniques with syringles and vials when administering epidural injections in his pain management clinic. (I had 5 injections from this doctor. The State neglected to notify us until 3 years after they had knowledge of this situation. Question: How is a class action suit launched, and will each participant have to pay a lawyer to do this, or does one lawyer handle it on everyone's behalf and take a portion of the money won, if any? Also, even if my tests come back negative for disease, can I still sue the state and the doctor based on worry, hassle, and the fact that the State did not notify us in a timely manner?Thank you.

Damages is an issue in any medical malpractice case. The parties who were injured by this (if known) are the real people who need representation.

It will not be a class action becasue each persons mediacal condition was and is different. You yourself seem to possess a cause of action individually. You may feel free to contact this office at 845.878.2163 for a free phone consult.

Good Luck
