Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
I was driving and stopped immediatly at a stop sign but half way into the intersection, but another driver on a scooter got scared and fell off the bike. Can he sue me for any injuries?

Either you stopped at the stopsign (located at the corner), or you stopped halfway into the intersection. Which is it? If you first stopped halfway into the intersection, there is a question of fault. Did the scooter operator also have a stopsign? Anyone can sue for injuries.
