Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

I have no fault insuance that I have been using for a car accident, should I have an attorney? I have had several people ask me why I don't have an attorney. Why would I need an attorney? Also do no fault claims ever settle? As recently asked I mentioned that they no longer will pay for me to get pain management but if I have something else that I want to try they will pay. Lawguru.com answered I should have my attorney deal with this. I don't have an attorney, I never knew I should have one. I have tried so many things and the only thing that is helping at the moment is pain management. I still go monthly and pay out of pocket because my regular medical insurance will not pay for it, they say it's a pre-existing condition. I have chronic neck pain and daily migranes from accidents, I have been living with this for 14 years, the last two years I haven't been able to work. Thank you so much for your time. Happy holidays

Michael Krigsfeld William Schwitzer & Associates, P.C.

Hello Ms. Nicholas:

A very simple answer is that you should always have an attorney to represent your interests. Insurance companies will try to take advantage of an unrepresented claimant whenever they can. You should have an attorney to help you with both your medical treatment and how it relates to No-Fault benefits as well as someone to help you with a claim for the pain and suffering you sustained as a result of your accident. An attorney will be instrumental in helping you with both.

For an absolutely FREE consultation please contact me at 347-702-4133 or email me at michael@mkesq. I would be happy to discuss both the No-Fault aspect with you as well as the pain and suffering claim which you may be entitled to through someone else's negligence. Dealing with an insurance company without proper representation may cause you to forfeit your rights or not be compensated as much as you may deserve.

Yours truly,

Michael Krigsfeld, Esq.
