If your injury qualifies under NY law as a "serious injury" you may pursue a negligence claim for compensatory damages. You may contact me if your injury qualifies and you need a referral to a NY lawyer.

Re: Hit by a car -- hurt neck

If the accident occurred in Nevada, you should talk with a Nevada-licensed attorney who works in the personal injury field. If it occurred in New York, you should talk with a P.I. attorney in New York. You listed both states, and sometimes when that happens, it is because someone was on vacation in Nevada and got involved in the accident. If that is the case, I would be happy to talk with you about your options and best approach to obtaining efficient resolution of a claim.

Check with a lawyer in your area to see if your situation qualifies for bringing a claim. There are time limits involved. Good luck.
