If you were in a car accident in New York State involving an uninsured vehicle, you may make a claim with the Motor Vehcile Indemnification Corporation (MVAIC). There are very strict time limits to file and the accident must be a "reported" accident. See the blow link for more information. You can also call us for a free initial consultation. Best wishes,

You must immediately file a claim with the NYS Motor Vehicle Accident Indemnification Corporation (MVAIC) which provides coverage to victims of uninsured car accidents. Sherri L. Plotkin, Esq.; Barton Barton & Plotkin LLP; 212-687-6262
I am sorry for your terrible ordeal. There is a state created insurance company for injured parties that do not have insurance call MVAIC (Motor Vehicle Accident Indemnification Corp). It is important that you file this claim as soon as possible. As long as it is a reported accident you can obtain benefits to pay for your medical bills and missed time from work. Additionally, you may sue MVAIC directly for pain and suffering as they stand in the place of the defendant in that instance.
It is important that you hire an attorney that is experienced in these types of cases. Our law firm has handle and is currently handling many MVAIC cases.
