Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

I was hit and run by a limo driver in New York

I was in Manhattan and getting into my car which was parallel parked. I was very close to the car, but my elbow must have been sticking out more than the rest of my body. I was in no way in the street. I heard this loud sound. There were some people with me and they thought a car got hit. Then, a second later the pain started and I realized that a limo driver sped by and hit my elbow. I saw him driving off with his side mirror hanging off. He stopped at a light and a friend ran up to him as he was examining his side mirror. My friend said, "Hey, you broke her arm." He said, "She broke my car." and left. We got his tags and filed a police report of a hit and run. I went to the ER and luckily did not have any broken bones. My arm still hurts and I am wondering if there is any nerve damage. What are my rights? How do I go about finding a lawyer. I live in the DC suburbs, but this happened in New York. Please advise. Thanks!

You will need to have at least 90 days of continuous medical treatment in order to meet the threshold which is a requisite to any potential monetary recovery in NY. Also your no-fault forms must be submitted within 90 days of the accident so that your medical bills and treatment are covered.
