Injury from a fall

I tripped over a cement barrier in an unlighted CHURCH parking lot on my way to a meeting inside the church meeting room and seriously injured my shoulder and a finger. I filled out an insurance form for their insurer but they have neglected to contact me and it has been almost six weeks. I still have serious pain and cannot do what I need to do. I missed work and have had doctor's expenses too.

Sounds like you have a valid claim for your injuries. You should pursue this with the Church's insurance, your own insurance company, if any, and the Church itself (or whoever manages the church property).
