Re: injury on the job

The federal government set up a Victims Compensation program shortly after 9/11/01 through which injured persons, or the families of persons killed, received large amounts of money. I handled one such case myself, on a volunteer basis, for the family of a deceased policeman. If you elected, at that time, not to register with this program, you could have started a lawsuit against the Port Authority, the airlines, etc. etc. These cases are still pending, but they were initiated long ago. By now, your time in which to take legal action has likely expired, the statutes of limitation having run. Thank you. M. E. Zuller
