Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
I was involved in an accident in which I was making a left turn onto the expressway, I and 2 other vehicles had a green arrow to do so. A cabbie hit me as I was completing my turn. Since my child was in the car they took her to the hospital but she was fine as was I. My driver record is clean. My insurance company denied his claim for liability now he's suing for injuries. What happens now? He hit us, he caused the accident

Your insurance carrier should have assigned a defense attorney for your case, keep in touch with your lawyer on the regular basis and follow his/her instructions. Based on your policy provisions, your insurance carrier should defend the claim on liability and injuries.

This is exactly why you have insurance. Your carrier will assign counsel to defend you, at no cost. If the claim settles, or results in a judgment against you for a figure within your policy limits, the carrier will pay the funds. Work with the attorneys who represent you and things should turn out fine. Best, M.E. Zuller
If you are afraid of an excess judgment against you above your insurance policy coverage, retain private counsel to protect your interests.
