Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
I live in New York and I went to a nightclub in Brooklyn. A fight broke out in the club between some people I didnt know and they started fighting. One of them threw a bottle and it hit me in my face even though I moved away. I got a gash on my jaw and had to go to the emergency room for stitches. My question is shouldnt the club owners be held responsible to some degree because their security took too long to engage and put a stop to the chaos? I believe they should not be giving out beer bottles, instead just poor the beer in a cup and keep the bottles behind the bar. What, if anything, can I do to have someone held responsible?

If that particular nightclub has a history of violent incidents and has not taken precautions to prevent future ones, then a jury could find in your favor, but with your injuries being relatively minor, this is not a highly attractive case.
