Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
Medical Clinic's failure to treat adequate
I was involved in a MVA in 7/27/05.I went to a specific medical facility for treatment and noticed that my symptoms were getting worse.I also noticed that they dropped the required amount of times weekly I was supposed to come in for treatment. There was a sign on the building stating that they had a psychologist on board but there was none.
I went in on a Saturday because I was in a lot of pain and the physician's assistant wasn't even there.I had to go to the emergency room to seek pain relief.
One day I told the Physicians assistant(never saw the Dr.)that my symptoms are getting worse and I have electric shocks on the left side of my chest and arms.I was told that ''we do not do that here;you will have to go to your family doctor or the emergency room.
As I didn't have a regular doctor, I went to the emergency room and was told by the physician that I need to see a neurologist. The strange thing is that there was a neurologist at the clinic. He ran nerve testing on me and said everything was normal, which I knew was not true.I left that clinic and less than a month later, had another test done;now there were results that seemed to explain what was going on with my lower extremeties.I received inadequate treatment do I have a case?
