Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Medicare sends letter to Insurance Co.

I was involved in an auto accident and my insurance company eventually sent me to several of their IME physicians who ALL stated that I was able to return to work. They look at me for one to three minutes and make a decision on my ability when I have doctors treating me for a year.

Medicare has sent my insurance company a letter. Can they actually take them to court in an effort to recoup any monies that may be paid out on my behalf?

Re: Medicare sends letter to Insurance Co.

Medicare has a lien on any recovery you receive and also can seek reimbursement from your no-fault carrier if there was a wrongful denial of no-fault coverage, causing Medicare to pay for your medical treatment.
