Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
a person was pulled down to the ground by her dog trying to chase some stray cats in a yard.
She hurt her head and needed 7 staples. She now wants to sue the homeowner, because she fed the stray cats, and that's why they're in the yard.
Does this person have a case?

The law requires a connection between the act (feeding the strays) and the harm (falling) which is reasonably foreseeable. Sounds like this will be a difficult burden here and, in my opinion, unlikely. Regards, Joe Macaluso
