if you sign a notorzed document and it tells you , you will receive a check for a large sum of money, is the check sent to you or your lawyer.

It will be sent to your lawyer and made payable to the lawyer or made to you and your lawyer, depending on thw roding of the retainer agreement.

But the lawyer always receives the check to be certain that his fee is paid.
