Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
I sliced my hand at work because there was no guard on the tomato slicer like there is suppose to be. Then when I got stitches the nurse did them incorrectly delaying the healing time. Do I have a case on either of these?

You may possibly have a case, but it depends on whether or not the slicer was originally manufactured with a guard and if it was, who removed the guard and whether or not there were any safeguards in place to discourage an employer (or anyone) to remove the safety guard. In other words, a lot more information is needed before a definite answer to your question can be given. Sherri L. Plotkin; 212-687-6262
