slip and fall

i slipped and fell on icy steps at my rented residence resulting in a serious neck injury can i sue my landlord?

You may have a case. Liability often depends on the time that the landlord had to correct the hazardous condition and the steps, if any he took to remove the ice. Did he make the condition worse? How long was the ice present? Where was the ice and did he know that it existed?

These are some of the considerations in determining the merits of your claim.
