Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

I am being sued for a car accident (rear end collision which "I was at fault") , what kind of lawyer do I need to defend me?

The car I was driving at the time was my corporate car and now my corporation is at risk. My insurance company states that the claims may exceed the coverage. This is almost a year after the accident.

I really need some help. Please advice me on what type of lawyer I should be looking to hire.

Thank you!

You may retain a lawyer knowledgeable in personal injury litigation, particularly auto cases, to act as watchdog on the defense lawyer provided you and your company by your insurance carrier. A skilled lawyer can often encourage the carrier to settle within the policy limits. You can expect to pay an hourly fee. Best, M. E. Zuller
