Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York
witness appears out of nowhere and gives false info
a commercial vehicle ran into me after apparently coming off the curb in park.the driver was between 2 no standing bus stops and 2 fire hydrants.there were no witnesses at the scene.out of the blue(and by the way,not on the police report)the commercial vehicle driver has a witness that is lying about the facts.the witness stated that i was on my cell phone, when i did not even have it in my posession at the time.the witness also states that i ran into the vehicle, when it clearly shows from the point of impact, that the other vehicle ran into me.this witness also stated that i ran home to get my license, which could not be further from the truth(i did go to my house, only to retrieve my cell phone).i did not ''run'' either.the first call to 911 was made by me on another person's cell phone since i did not have mines.since the car was not mines, the owner attempted to retrieve his deductible through his insurance company.the company filed an inter-company arbitration and i was told that the other side won because they had a witness.where is the justice? i was told that arbitration is an informal process and someone is putting this ''witness'' up to fabricating lies.insurance company on my side stated that I was 0% liable.any advice helpful.

I cannot give you an answer withoput knowing the terms of the arbitration.
Did you accespt the arbitration, or only your insurer?
Had this gone to a trial, the information you have communicated would have gone to the judge/jury. It is possible that your lawyer (provided by the insurance compamny) did not make any effort to develop the fracts of the case.
