Legal Question in Product Liability in New York

blade flew off machine

The second time I used this power saw, the blade flew off, massive injuries resulting. Ten months later, I filed a small claims court claim; but injuries are devastating, I should have gotten a lawyer and filed a real lawsuit. What can a lawyer do for me now?

Products liability lawsuits are complicated and you probably should retain an attorney for a suit involving a defective power saw, especially if the injuries are "devastating." The fact that you initially brought suit in small claims court can be corrected. An attorney can have the case removed to the Supreme Court of New York, where there are no monetary limits.
