Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

My 3 sisters and I have some vacation property in New York given to us by our mother. One of the sisters will no longer pay her share of the taxes and insurance. How can we get her removed from the property?

Since all 4 own the property, you must commence a partition action to legally remove her from the property. Or, if she consents, just buy her out.

Mike is correct. Action for partition or a buyout agreement would be best. We have substantial experience handling these types of cases, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.
