You must prepare another deed transferring the property from you to you and your daughter. This is done by signing a deed before a notary public. You can obtain a form deed at www.blumberg.com.

There are also transfer documents that must be filed with the deed. If the property is in the City of New York, transfer documents are prepared through ACRIS. Otherwise, you would need a TP 584 document and a NYS equilization form. The TP 584 form may be found at http://www.nystax.gov/pdf/2007/fillin/property/tp584_307_fill_in.pdf. The NYS equilization form is a triplicate form and, therefore, cannot be downloaded. You would have to contact New York State for the equilization form.

The deed and the transfer documents must then be filed with the county clerk where the real property is located. A fee also needs to be paid.
