Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

I bought a house on august 2009 ( last year ) since then i can't have who it was my laywer to give me the original DEED of the property, i record e-mails since november 2009 when he promised two weeks to get it. i have like 15 e-mails where he keep promising the samething. what is his obligation after the closing day? Thank you for your advise.

He should provide you with the original (or a certified copy if the original is lost.) However, you can try looking at this link to the Westchester County Clerk's land records:

Maybe you can locate and print out a copy of the deed. If you need a certified copy you would have to visit the clerk's office and pay a nominal fee.
