Bounced check from closing

I, the seller was paid by a personal check the balance of money owed from sale of home. The check bounced. My contract allowed a personal check by buyer up to $1000.

You need to provide more information--what was the amount of the bounced check? Did it exceed the $1k amount permitted by the sale contract? Has the check been completely dishonored (returned twice?) Have you presented to the drawer with a demand for payment?
