Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
My building's by-laws are from 1926 and have never been amended. My question is regarding right to privacy. I am allowed a companion, but do I need to inform the Board of the name of the individual who visits or lives with me with regards to keys of the building or my own dwelling?

Is it a coop or a condo? In a coop, your remedy for a nosy board is to move out. In a condo, you sue the board and people have been known to end up owning the whole building.
