Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
I'm about to buy a house and I want to know if by law the owner can sell the house if the electrical system is not up to the code, meaning is enough for him to sell it with everything in working order and not up to the code?

Most houses are sold "as is" however, if such a problem is uncovered a good real estate attorney can usually help you negotiate the deal in your favor. We have substantial experience handling these types of real estate transactions, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination.
