Buying a building
A friend and I have an idea for a much-needed service in NYC; how do we go about finding someone to help find us a building (we are a not-for-profit) and developing the needed real estate without "selling" our idea to others?

I do not believe you will be able too locate a piece of real estate for free, without having some disclosure. I suggest you contact local brokers in the area you want to be located within, and see if they have any clients with property who might be willing to speculate.
