Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

My car was involved in an accident - the other person was 100% liable. I have the requisite quotes/estimates for repair - unfortunately before I was able to have it fixed, it broke down and I needed to trade it in. My question is, can I still recover the damages to have it repaired (seeing how it diminished the overall value of the car) or am I out of luck since I never actually repaired it.

You are entitled to damages from the accident. If it goes to court, you will need a mechanic to tesify to the damages and the cost to repair. Good luck.
