changing names on deed

We would like to add my name to the deed of my mother's home. There is no morgage on the home and the name of my deceased father is still on the deed.

There is no problem doing the deed transfer. However, there maybe gift tax transfer consequences.

The owner (mother) has to sign and file a quitclaim deed to the new owners (mother and child).
