Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Co-tenant Issue
I signed a new one year lease with a colleague in December for commercial office space. Since then, he has been a detriment to my business - ultimately resulting in my Assitant quitting. I will be asking him to leave. However, if he doesn't comply, what are my options?
My current landlord isn't concerned, since I intend to honor the current lease agreement.

Re: Co-tenant Issue
Since he was initially permitted to be in the space, if he doesn't leave voluntarily you most likely would need to institute summary proceedings in housing court for his eviction. This area of law is our specialty, however, we would need some more information before making a complete and proper determination. You are welcome to contact us for a free consultation.
