Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
I did a deed in lieu of foreclosure on property that i acquired by doing a favor for my aunt. The closing took place June 2010. Currently city records still show my name as owner of property. I've contacted the owner who received the deed from me, and they sent me a new contract to sign. Should my lawyer from the closing assist me with this matter for free?

It's a new matter. The attorney should get an additional fee. It's a brand new contract.
