What is the difference between a private driveway and a common driveway? Our neighbors have asked us to convert our private driveway to a common driveway.

Private driveways are only accessable by the owner and whomever he invites to use use it. Common driveways are shared by two or more people and can be used by anyone they invite. Think of a single-family home and an apartment house.
