Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

My next door neighbor has several branches and a good size tree hanging over our 4' fence and extending approx. 20 feet over my driveway, patio and yard. I am fearful of damage to the house and vehicles throughout the winter. I spoke to the Mrs. and she said she is not interested in spending a lot of money to trim trees. What legal options do I have?

Trim the part of the tree that extends over your property and make sure that your home insurance policy is up to date.
