Easement compensation for a state sponsored construction project

The state of new york is replacing a bridge, they are requesting to use my property for construction of a temporary bridge and are requesting to use an easement on my property. What type of compensation can I expect to be reasonable?

Thank you.

Re: Easement compensation for a state sponsored construction project

There is no cut and dry answer to this. You will be inconvenienced, and you do not state the quantity of land involved, the time your land will be used, the current use of the land (vacant or otherwise) or other facts. My best suggestion is to start exceedingly high and to negotiate down from there. This is a response to an Internet question and the reply is not to be considered legal advice or to create an attorney-client relationship. Different or omitted facts could produce a different response.
