Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Easement

I gave an easement to the Town to install storm drain pipes across my property. The drains go from a catch basin ,under

my front lawn and driveway to a sewer drain at the road...my driveway is now collasping from sink holes...the pipes have never been cleaned of the debris or maintained since installation....

Question...who has the responsibility for maintaining these drains and the damage caused?? Nothing in the easement addresses this situation...

The easement should have had provisions for maintenance by the town. Lacking that, you must make a claim aginst the town.
