A. There is no self-help eviction. It must go to court.

A. When you receive the Notice of Petition and Petition, you should make an appointment with the Volunteer Lawyer's Project in Nassau County. The agency will provide you with free legal counsel and will help you with the eviction. VLP's telephone number is: 516-292-8299.
