Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Hello,
An exboyfriend of mine left his camper on mine and my neighbors property, he has since started dating someone else, does not live with me and I want it off my yard. The camper has been sitting for well over 5 months now and Ive asked him repeatedly to move it but as of yet it sits. My question is do I have the right to get rid of it? Does the camper belong to me in any way now that he's deserted it?? Thank you, MB

I would carefully haul the camper to the nearest public road. Inform your ex that you are doing so. Also inform him where the camper will be hauled to. I would do this in writing. Once on a public road, it would be the responsibility of the municipality.
