Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Ex-Girl friend has my car.
Ex-girl friend has my car and she will not return it. The car is owned by me and insured in my name. I gave her the key when we where going out and everything was fine, but after the break-up she doesn't want to give it back. How can i go about this leagally? Should i just call the police?

Send her a Certified and Regular mail request for return of your vehicle, by a date certain. Thank her for her cooperation, in advance, in order to avoid further unpleasantness.
At the end of the period for return, go to your precinct to ask for assistance getting your auto returned. Follow their instructions. You should be prepared to present your proofs of ownership, etc., and your peaceful attempts to obtain return of your auto.
