Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

my exgirlfriend and I bought a house together. She put in $50000 and I put in $50000 to buy our house. She had it financed only in her name and the deed was in both of our names. When I left 2 years ago, we did a quick deed to put it only in her name. She has given me $15000 of the money owed with the promise for the rest, but now won't talk to me about giving me the rest of the money. The house is in NC and I am in NY

Under NY law you may have a claim for a constructive trust. However, NC law applies since that is where the house is located. You may want to re-submit the question to a NC attorney.
