Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
My ex-girlfriend and i split up and she is now trying to stiff me for a money. My question is we bought a car together, it is co-titled in both of our names. If i take her to court am i correct in assuming that i am entitled to half the value of the vehicle?

Generally, there is a presumption that you are entitled to 50% of the equity in the vehicle.

I agree with Mike and add that unless she raises some offsetting claims that are recognized and held to be valid, the presumption of 50/50 ownership should be respected.
