what is the length of time for a foreclosure process? is there notice given before eviction?

The amount of time varies depending on the lender, the court, and the borrower. If the case goes uncontested (meaning that the borrower does not fight the lawsuit), it will take anywhere from 6 months to one year. If the case is contested, it can take longer.
If the borrower (or anyone else) is in the premises after the foreclosure, the lender's attorney will usually go to landlord-tenant court to get a warrant of eviction which should provide the occupant with notice.

Foreclosure can take up to a year. You will receive notice of the sale and a notice of eviction. However there may be defenses to foreclosure or other means of resolving your circumstances
