Foreclosure with a lien
My father (deceased) received a summons naming his company as a defendant because a property that he has a judgment lien on is being forclosed.
The summons states that the lien ''appears to be prior'' and the plantiff is asking to have the lien ''declared invalid and extinguished''.
Does the mortgage holder need to satisfy the lien?
If we wish to relinquish the lien do we need to respond to the summons?
