Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
Granting access to neighboring property
Do I have to allow access for my neighbor to his property from my driveway? The most remote portion of his parcel is along my driveway and from his recent interest in this area I fear he wants to sell it as a building lot. There is no road frontage to it, only my driveway. What are my rights? And what are his?
Thanks very much,

Re: Granting access to neighboring property
unless he has an easement to your property - i.e. written permission to cross your property, then in my opinion, no. If he wishes to sell a portion of his property, he most likely will be requires to provide access across his own property. Feel free to contact my office for further assistance and representation.
