Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

Hello,

I signed a lease in NYC in April through a broker's agency. I paid 5 months in advance (4+security) I never got my copy of the contract. First they said they put in the mail. Two weeks after i moved in and my copy didn't come i asked for it. They said the same, they put it in the mail. I never got it, I also never got any receipt for the monthly rent i paid. The manager of the building said he's gonna put it in my mailbox but it never came. Then after the hurricane i lost my job and had to relocate. I made a written request to interrupt the lease. I didn't get a written answer, but the manager of the building told me that the answer from the landlord is that if i moved by December 1st and the apartment is in good condition i will get a check with the security + the last month rent by December 21st. I spoke to the manager on the phone on December 20th and he assured me the check will be mailed the next day. By today i didn't receive any check and the manager is not answering my phone for the last 8 days. What can i do?

Thank you!
