Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York

The house I own has a shared easeway with a house next door. It is about ten feet wide and sometimes I use it as a driveway. Last week the owner next door, blocked half of the entrance to easeway with a permanent fence. Prevfiously there was a gate. Could he do this? This easeway exists between the two houses.

Read your deed and all priors to see how it is to be used. Unless it leads to a garage, I doubt it was meant to be used as a driveway.
