Legal Question in Real Estate Law in New York
I own a house. My wife is deceased. I would like my deceased wife's name removed from the deed and replaced with my daughters name who now resides with me? We would own the house together like my wife and I did. Is this possible and how do I accomplish this?

Yes, you can do what you are looking to do. I would need more infomration. Such as, was there a will, do you have any other kids, etc? Once I get the full story I can better direct you.

Yes.
You would sign a deed as surviving tenant. The deed would be your name and your daughter's name as joint tenants. Therefore, upon your death, the property would automatically be transferred to your daughter - thus avoiding probate.
